除了以上專業上的，面試導師通常也會問如下幾類問題：

①請你做一個簡單的自我介紹；②你為什么會報考我們學校？③報考我們專業，你有什么優勢？

考生常遇到的普遍問題，如“What’s your plan for the postgraduate study? (研究生期間你的計劃)”，或 “ Why do you choose to study at our institute/university? ”等。

如果是跨專業的考生，極有可能會被問到 “ Why do you change your major? (為什么換專業) ” 或 “ Why do you choose this major? (為什么選擇這個專業)”。

對于這類問題，考生回答時一定要注意方式，回答時不要過于簡單，一定要注意結合自己和學校的實際情況。

還有英文自我介紹考查是充分的詞匯量、較好的語法規則以及自信的態度。用英語實在不知該怎么繼續表述時，必要時可以用漢語繼續說完，一般來說，老師還是會比較寬容的。
